Altiris Delivers Tight Integration With SQL Server 2005 to Help Lower Total Cost of IT Management
SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 7 / -- Altiris, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATRS), a pioneer of IT lifecycle management solutions that reduce the total cost of owning IT resources, today announced it will include Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with the Altiris IT lifecycle management architecture, to provide a tightly integrated solution with better performance and lower costs to customers.
The Altiris(R) Extensible Management Architecture(TM) is built to deliver flexibility, scalability and efficiency and provides a rich set of services such as a centralized configuration management database (CMDB), efficient communications, and policy and notification engines. SQL Server is a key component of the Altiris architecture.
"The performance improvements in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 help us extend and enhance the already efficient and powerful Altiris server architecture.
