AMSTERDAM -- At IBC 2014, Allegro DVT will showcase its portfolio of Live & File encoders, available under a variety of platforms, to provide the best technical solution to customers in every situation.
Since the introduction of our award-winning transcoding solutions, we've made a point of benefiting from the latest available technology, and Allegro DVT is now proud to show premium live 4K HEVC encoding on AL2000, for deploying high-value channels on any network, be it OTT, IPTV, Cable or Satellite. Encoding 4K HEVC video in real-time with uncompromised video quality requires a tremendous amount of computing power, and meeting that goal was definitely challenging.
After performing extensive research on refining our core implementation, we now have the technology portfolio to encode live 4K HEVC content on CPU-based platforms, or benefit from GPU-based hardware acceleration to encode up to 4K 10 bits at 60 fps.
All Allegro DVT H.264 and HEVC encoders are also proposed as Genova Live & File software, to offer greater flexibility by running over private clouds and OpenStack.
