All You Need and More: Tubeinspect Ready to Measure Free-Form Tubes Thanks to New Software Release

First presentation of the software version 4.0 at the EMO trade show in hall 5, stand F53
Braunschweig/Germany, 17th September 2007 - During the last 12 months, AICON has worked at full speed to refine the optical 3D tube measuring system TubeInspect in order to make it ready for new measuring tasks. So far, TubeInspect's repertoire has comprised the geometry inspection of conventionally bent tubes with constant diameters and the setup and correction of the corresponding bending machines. With the release of the software version 4.0, the system additionally captures the segment of free-form tubes.
By applying version 4.0 that will be delivered with the TubeInspect systems as of January 2008, free-form geometries can be metrologically acquired. Thus it is possible to inspect serial parts within seconds. For the documentation of the measuring results, the user can create own reporting templates that TubeInspect will fill with data.
Due to the intuitive user guidance and the brand new wizard for the measuring of master tubes, also a "newbie" in the field of optical metrology will be able to carry out measurements easily.
The version 4.0 will be delivered with all TubeInspect systems: From the "big" measuring cell TubeInspect and the smaller TubeInspect S to TubeInspect HD, AICON's novelty at the EMO.
