All-Plastic IBC Replaces Steel Cage Units with Lighter Weight, Lower Cost Design in Shipping and Storage of Heavy Weight, Viscous Materials

Rugged, Reusable OTP IBC Thrives Holding Low-Risk High Specific Gravity Materials

Saddle Brook, NJ: The heavy-duty OTP intermediate bulk container from award-winning material handling products manufacturer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co., Saddle Brook, New Jersey, features a seamless, reinforced, one-piece container and durable base that permit the secure shipping and storage of heavy weight products in an all-plastic, anti-bulging, reusable design that is 30% lighter* and 33% less costly** than the commonly used containers requiring steel cage support.

Ideal for material handling managers, process engineers, quality control officers and shipping and production managers interested in cutting shipping and handling costs, the heavy-duty OTP IBC safely accommodates heavy weight products with specific gravity ratings up to 1.6 such as adhesives, lubricants, greases, paints, coatings, oils, syrups, sauces, gravies, flavors and other non-regulated products.

Rotomolded of rugged LLDPE, the reusable OTP-All-Plastic IBC holds more than 4,000 lbs. of product and stacks two high when filled or three high empty. Molded with 4-way lift access, the versatile container is offered in 275- and 330-gallon capacities
measuring 45" x 45" x 56.5" and 45" x 45" x 63.5" respectively with approximate tare weights of 250 lbs. and 275 lbs.

The OTP-All-Plastic IBC includes an extra wide 23-inch lid with Lever Lock Ring and two-inch PVC Ball Valve discharge as standard while polypropylene and stainless steel valves and complete FDA compliance packages are available.

"For a processor managing a fleet of 100 steel cage IBC's, converting to our reusable OTP IBC delivers approximately $20,000.00 in immediate savings plus additional savings in transportation costs and enhanced personnel safety due to the
improvement in weight," says Jack Pape, vice president, sales and marketing for Meese Orbitron Dunne Co.

Meese Orbition Dunne Co. earned the 2002 "Conversion of the Year" award from the Association of Rotational Molders for replacing steel with durable plastic in a weatherproof material handling cart.

*Tare weight of OTP in 330 gal. capacity: 275 lbs. vs. tare weight of 390 lbs. for steel cage unit in 330 gal. capacity.

**OTP single unit cost: $399.00 vs. approximately $600.00 single unit cost for comparable steel cage unit.
