-- New Family of Rugged All-in-One Touchcomputers Delivers Style, Power and Functionality to Retail and Hospitality Environments --

HARRISBURG, Pa - Elo TouchSystems, a Tyco Electronics business, is introducing high performance versions of the 19R Series All-in-One Touchcomputers. The demanding needs of different point-of-information venues such as retail stores, hospitability, gaming and healthcare environments can now be met with a range of performance options in a sleek and stylish package.

"Customers can now take advantage of a small footprint touchcomputer that combines industry-leading performance with the strong value of Elo TouchSystems, "states Thomas Richardson, PhD, business development manager. "The 19R touchcomputer series is the latest addition to the Elo TouchSystems family of reliable, multi-function touch solutions."

The 19R Series comes in three powerful configurations that cover a range of touch computing needs with a choice of Intel ® processors. The 19R1 and 19R2 provide a high standard of quality for customer registration stations and check-in points as well as interactive digital signage applications. For routine computing needs, the 19R1 model comes with the Intel Atom(TM) dual-core 1.6GHz processor and the 19R2 is powered by the Intel Pentium® 2.6GHz processor for high performance computing needs. The 19MR1 with UL60601 certification and the Intel Atom dual-core 1.6GHz processor is well-suited for use in medical and healthcare environments such as pharmacy automation, radiology and operating room control stations, patient registration and patient bedside entertainment in hospitals, outpatient surgical centers and other healthcare settings.

The 19R Series All-in-One touchcomputers offers flexibility by supporting the popular Microsoft® Windows operating system and is also available without an operating system. All units utilize Elo's Acoustic Pulse Recognition (APR) touch technology for its recognized ability to withstand the rigors of public venues such as retail display units, customer loyalty systems, point of information systems, internet access sites, digital signage as well as bedside entertainment and home control. The Zero-Bezel APR screen provides a virtually 100 percent useable surface area. The zero-bezel design removes the frame or bezel of standard monitors creating a seamless glass surface that supports a brilliant touch experience and easier maintenance. The all glass zero-bezel design is a valuable feature where clean-ability and disinfection of the touchscreen are important.
