New Spindle Alignment Kit Boosts Manufacturing Efficiency

February, 2004, Newburyport, Massachusetts: Pinpoint Laser Systems is introducing a new spindle and shaft alignment kit for industrial machinery. Machine operators, plant engineers, and maintenance professionals can now check the alignment and performance of their machinery quickly and efficiently. Studies have proven that well-aligned machinery and production equipment
reduces manufacturing downtime, improves thruput, and ultimately, improves production profits.

This new Microgage Spindle Alignment Kit consists of a laser that is mounted to the drive shaft, spindle, or a gearbox flange and projects a precise reference beam along the centerline. A digital target receiver catches the laser beam and provides a measurement reading to show if the receiver is off-center. Angular errors can also be measured and eliminated.

The Microgage system measures misalignments as small as 0.0001 inch and will operate over distances of 80 feet for large machinery applications. The Microgage can also be attached to a laptop or PC for printouts and record keeping. Initial customers report that this new Microgage alignment system is easy to use and intuitive to set up.

The Laser Microgage is manufactured in the United States by Pinpoint. For additional press information or story information on our newest product innovation, please contact Pinpoint at 1-800-757-5383 or visit our website at www.pinlaser.com.
