Albemarle Samples Its New GreenCrest Polymeric Flame Retardant Product to Customers
BATON ROUGE, La., -- Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB), a leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of flame retardants, confirms today that it is sampling its GreenCrest(TM) polymeric fire safety solution from the commercial scale campaign to customers as scheduled. GreenCrest is targeted for use in expanded (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS) applications. The Company expects to commercialize GreenCrest before the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) sunset date in 2015.Â
Albemarle's flame retardant business is part of the Company's fire safety solutions within the Polymer Solutions business segment.
