AIS Compact HMI panels are part of AIS’s intelligent family of powerful Touch Panel PCs, which also includes the Premium and Standard Series HMIs. Like all AIS’s Smart HMIs, the Compact Series HMI Panels are open machine interfaces made of a rugged aluminum die-cast housing powered by the Intel Celeron N2930 processor engine. Running Windows® Embedded Compact 7, the Compact HMI panels from AIS are high resolution touchscreen displays, available in a wide range of interface sizes including: 7.0”, 10.1”, 12.1”, 15.0”, 17.0”, 18.5” and 21” touchscreen displays.
The Compact Series touchscreen display offers a host of hardware features not typically available in this price range including quick response times thanks to its processor load. AIS Compact HMI Panels also support many TCP/IP protocols including: OPC UA and SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) based Protocols for Web HMI applications. SOAP is a messaging protocol that allows programs on disparate operating systems such as Windows and Linux to communicate using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and its Extensible Markup Language (XML). Leveraging SOAP with AIS Compact HMI touch panels offers a few primary advantages including: a platform and language independent protocol, simplified communications through proxies and firewalls and the ability to utilize different protocols such as HTTP and SMTP.

AIS Compact Plus HMI system offers a compact, all-in-one panel based on embedded technology. The Comact Plus features an Intel® Core™ i3-4010U processor, DDR3L-1600 SDRAM of up to 8 GB, standard SD card slot, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, Windows 7 Ultimate MUI / Windows Embedded 7 32/64-bit / Windows Embedded. Available in 12.1”, 15.0”, 15.6”, 17.0”, 18.5” and 21.5” display sizes, the Compact Plus features include highly flexible interfaces and expansions common to the Smart family of HMIs from AIS, which also include the Premium and Standard Series.
In addition, as an embedded, PC-based HMI system supporting TCP/IP based Protocols, the Comact Plus handily serves all HMI, SCADA and MES application requirements as well.
