Airspan and Proximetry Enable Performance-Critical Services Over Wimax for Public Safety and Transportation Users

Collaboration Simplifies Management for Increased Performance of Multifrequency,
Multiprotocol Wireless Networks

BOCA RATON, FL and SAN DIEGO, CA - November 13, 2007 - Airspan Networks Inc.
(NASDAQ: AIRN), a leading provider of WiMAX and Wi-Fi based broadband wireless access
networks, and Proximetry Inc., the technology leader in real-time network and performance management solutions for wireless networks, today announced that they are collaborating to enable performance critical services over WiMAX for public safety and transportation users.

The two companies are working together to extend Airspan's 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz MicroMAX
with Wi-Fi and Proximetry's AirSync software so service providers and end users can enjoy guaranteed QoS over multifrequency, multiprotocol wireless networks. This offering comes at a time when numerous cities are contemplating crucial upgrades to their infrastructure to support key users and applications.

"We are combining our market leading MicroMAX products with the advanced performance and network management features of Proximetry's AirSync," said Eric Stonestrom, Airspan's president and chief executive officer. "The result is that traffic can be mixed over WiMAX and off the shelf Wi-Fi systems, while maintaining QoS and priority for specific applications and users. Our equipment has been working together in public safety and transportation applications for the past six months in Southern California - an example where the robust and unique capability of Airspan's WIMAX products with integrated WiFi and Proximetry's AirSync have provided a rapid response network. "

Airspan's MicroMAX is a complete standalone base station that can be used to deploy WiMAX anywhere, easily and cost effectively. And Proximetry's AirSync constantly optimizes all wireless connections to enable maximum throughput, services, and end user satisfaction by actively monitoring user priorities and network resource shifts in real time. The result is a wireless network with the performance, scalability, and reliability of a carrier-class wireline network with the intelligent provisioning to align network resources to user and device priorities, dynamic bandwidth allocation to meet changing user demands, and predictive routing and resource configuration to maximize throughput.

"Broadband services, especially for police, firefighters, airport operators, and other specialized users require more than just high performance radios," said Tracy Trent, Proximetry's chief executive officer. "Service providers increasingly want to use all available wireless technologies in a seamless fashion and ensure QoS across the entire network with certain transmissions getting extra priority. The combination of Airspan's MicroMAX with Wi-Fi and AirSync means that broadband, mission critical services can be offered without impact from interference and security breaches."

The two companies have been working with mutual clients in various stages of lab and field trials for most of the year and anticipate installation of the combined solution in numerous transportation and public safety networks beginning in early 2008.
