AirLoc Bolt-On Wedgmounts® Helps Oak Press Solutions Control High Impact Press!

Oak Press Solutions, headquartered in Sturgis, Michigan, has manufactured reliable,
precision, stamping presses since 1965 for worldwide distribution. Recently, Kent
Lancaster, Oak technical sales and marketing manager had a leveling mount application
for a 200 ton, high speed perforating line press. The application generated high impact
snap through forces at 240 strokes/min. and required isolation as well as precision
leveling.
AirLoc recommended a 450-VRCAD Wedgmount with two layers of 725 high damp pad
material to dissipate the impacts to the floor and reduce the reflected forces back into the
machine. The VRCAD design is unique with a removable top plate to accommodate an
attachment bolt to the press foot at off center locations, making the alignment of mount
and press foot uniform, as shown in the picture below. Kent reports that the AirLoc 450-VRCAD Wedgmount worked as predicted and their customer is happy with the
performance.
