Airgas to Exhibit Award-Winning Products and Introduce New Resource Guides at PITTCON 2015

Innovations Designed for Gas Purity and Efficiency in Analytical and Life Science Laboratories

RADNOR, PA – Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG), one of the nation's leading suppliers of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, and related products, today announced that it will exhibit and demonstrate award-winning specialty gas products and technology and introduce new resource guides at the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (PITTCON) at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, March 8 - 12, 2015.

"Our customers are always striving to optimize their results and find efficiencies where possible, including streamlining their gas usage," said Bill Russo, Airgas' Vice President - Specialty Gases. "The Airgas technologies on display at PITTCON, as well as our newest resource guides, support customers' goals of improving processes, obtaining consistency and quality, and identifying savings opportunities whenever possible."

Among the products on display will be the new Certificate of Analysis QR Code and Airgas SRVS® App. The product, recently awarded a Golden Gas Award from Gases Instrumentation International magazine, saves time, reduces errors, and supports regulatory compliance by putting analytical cylinder information in the palm of customers' hands. Cylinder data is stored on QR Codes that are placed on Certificates of Analysis and cylinder labels. The Codes are scanned through the Airgas SRVS App, accessing the data to be viewed and managed also through the app, eliminating the need to re-enter the information into various systems and databases.

"We are always looking to develop new technologies to streamline processes for our customers," said Frank Kandl, Director of Business Development - Airgas Specialty Gas Equipment. "Our new award-winning QR Code and SRVS system saves time and eliminates data-entry errors, so customers can focus on the task at hand."

Airgas specialty gas experts will also share and discuss new resource guides including The Chromatographer's Guide to Gas and Gas Delivery Systems, the Architects and Engineers Systems Guide for Laboratory Gases and Cryogenics, and the Guide to Gas Cabinet Safety and Code Conformance. These recently developed informational resources provide in-depth expertise on a range of topics pertaining to gas, gas delivery systems, and high purity applications, including safety, process accuracy, product conservation, and more.

On Saturday, March 7 at 8:30 a.m., Frank Kandl, Director of Business Development - Airgas Specialty Gas Equipment, and Reginald Bartram, Gas Chromatography Consultant for Airgas, will present "Optimizing Your Gas Delivery System to Improve Column Life and Increase Sensitivity." On Thursday, March 12 at 10:05 a.m., Bartram will present "The Proper Installation of Gas Lines for Chromatographic Equipment Can Improve Your Sensitivity, Column Life, and Increase the Safety of Handling Gases in the Lab."

"These sessions provide valuable insight and solutions that can help gas users achieve safe and consistent performance and conserve resources," said Kandl. "By optimizing processes, users can benefit from significant cost savings."

More information on Airgas' products on display, informational resources, and sessions, as well as information on all Airgas specialty gas product and service offerings, will be available at the Airgas exhibit (Booth #4053) from March 8 - 12. Registered PITTCON attendees who visit the Airgas exhibit will be entered into daily drawings to win a Fitbit® or a Louisiana crawfish dinner.
