Airborne Laser Scanner provides high pulse rate.
Press Release Summary:
With 266,000 measurements at ground, LMS-Q680i delivers laser pulse repetition rate of 400 kHz. Unit provides echo digitization for in-depth full waveform analysis, combined with multiple-time-around signal processing. Scan rate up to 200 lines/sec at constant 60° field-of-view makes product suited for city modeling, power line monitoring, and flood plain mapping, as well as forestry, shoreline, and DEM model generation applications.
Original Press Release:
Riegl USA Announces New Airborne Laser Scanner LMS-Q680i
RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems GmbH has released its latest state-of-the-art airborne laser scanner the LMS-Q680i. The new system is available for order in the United States immediately. With 266,000 measurements at the ground, this "Innovation in 3D" provides unrivaled point density performance and an unmatched laser pulse repetition rate of 400 KHz.
"The new LMS-Q680i offers the established industry-leading echo digitization for in-depth full waveform analysis, now smoothly combined with multiple-time-around signal processing. The combination allows the user to benefit from the high pulse rate also from high flight altitudes and thus to achieve high measurement densities on the ground," said Dr. Andreas Ullrich, RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems CTO.
A scan rate of up to 200 lines per second at a constant 60 degree field-of-view makes this product ideal for city modeling, power line monitoring and even large area and flood plain mapping. The scanner is also ideal for forestry, shoreline and DEM model generation applications.
"We are excited about the new system and we will continue with the exceptional workflows and best practices that our users find invaluable," said Riegl USA President, Jim van Rens
There is an update available for current Riegl LMS-Q680 users. LMS-Q680 users are encouraged to contact Riegl USA for additional details regarding the upgrade.
