J.D. Neuhaus Unveils New Line Of Air Winches
Company Brings More Than 250 Years Of Material-Handling Experience To Winch Line
SPARKS, MD - J.D. Neuhaus, a longtime market leader in compressed air-powered lifting equipment, is introducing a new series of air winches.
"We've basically taken the heavy duty, tried-and-true technology of our hoists to a whole new level," said Don Plettenberg, the company's vice president of marketing. According to Plettenberg, these German-engineered winches are easy to install, easy to use, and they're suited for use in hazardous areas. They feature variable speeds, low noise levels and integrated overload protection
He added, "With the addition of JDN Air Winches, we truly cover all the bases for innovative material handling solutions."
The JDN Air Winches use fewer components, thanks to a self-lubricating vane motor with an integrated brake function. This technology has proven its mettle in the company's chain hoist series, delivering reduced maintenance costs, with no additional air lubricant required.
The winches also have high rope capacities and they have a fully variable speed lever control at the winch or via E-Type or FI-Type pendant controls. As an added safety feature, the controls are available with a main air emergency shut-off valve.
Other standard features include drum integrated exhaust; air-cooled planetary gear for minimum maintenance and maximum reliability; high rope capacity at a 4-layer spooling; and a long rope duty cycle, thanks to an ideal ratio of rope/drum diameter (factor 21). In addition, JDN Air Winches feature an adjustable drum guard for multiple rope working angles; longer drums to accommodate maximum rope capacities; a pressure roller for perfect rope spooling; integrated overload protection; offshore paint kits; and an emergency valve to shut off the main air supply.

PROFI LIFTER and PROFI PULLER - JDN Lifting and Pulling Winches in a very durable, compact steel structure with capacities of 1000 kg and 1800 kg, respectively 1600 kg and 3000 kg. The Puller series features a free-spooling clutch for manual rope spooling while unloaded.
