Air Turbine Spindles(TM) Announces the Integration of Popular Toolholders with High Speed Spindles
Air Turbine Spindles(TM) has combined Tool holder and Spindle into one piece to offer a super rigid high speed spindle for Milling, Engraving, Slotting, Deburring, Routing, Boring, and Superior Finishing with 1 micron concentricity at governed 25,000 to 90,000 rpm.
o Air Turbine Spindles(TM) will be demonstrating new, High Speed Spindles at IMTS-2006, Booth E-2070. Integrating the most popular tool holders into Air Turbine's High Speed Spindles allows any CNC Machine or VMC to become a High Speed Machining Center for very little investment. Standard products include Integrated Spindles on CAT40, BT40, HSK A-63, and a ¾" straight shank mount with motor speeds from 25,000 to 90,000 R.P.M. and collet sizes up to ¼" holding 0.0001" T.I.R. concentricity. The unique oil free direct drive Air Turbine Motor(TM) only needs 90 P.S.I. clean, dry air to run and utilizes a patented governor to maintain high speed under load to close to 80% of rated horsepower. The result is more IPM's, longer cutter life, less repairs and super surface quality with no gears, vanes or brushes to burn up
o At IMTS, the Air Turbine Spindle(TM) series will be demonstrated on a Fadal 4020 VMC Machining Center and Air Turbine Motors(TM) will demonstrate a fixtured motor on a FANUC Robotic Arm at Booth E-2070. Air Turbine Tools(TM) will demonstrate the advantages of light, powerful hand tools with super low vibration and noise, ideal for deburring and finishing.
