Air To Electronic Converter displays air gage signals.

Press Release Summary:

Compact VE-03 mounts as free-standing unit to standard DIN rail. In operation, air input signal is received in front of converter through air adapter. Output signal is transferred to electronic column or gage computer from signal output socket at back of unit. Zero and gain controls on front of converter adjust electric signal. Zero control is used for adjusting zero point on electronic column and gain control is used for increasing or decreasing spread.

Valenite Gaging Systems Introduces New Air To Electronic Converter That Enables An Electronic Column Or Gage Computer To Display Air Gage Signals

New converter changes the gaging signal from air to electronic.

When gaging requirements dictate the use of a non-contact air probe, the results can now be displayed on an electronic column or gage computer by employing the new VE-03 air/electronic converter available from Valenite Gaging Systems. The VE-03 is a very compact unit, and is completely sealed to prevent coolant and dust from possibly compromising the gaging signal. It is designed to mount as a free-standing unit to a standard DIN rail. A single set screw accessible from the front of the unit locks or releases the unit even if it is mounted in the middle of several other units. Because of its compact size, the VE-03 permits multiple units to be mounted in tandem in a small space.

The VE-03 converter is provided in an anodized aluminum case with a single flat cover. It measures 3.5-inches(89mm) in height, 5.5-inches(140mm)long and 1.25-inches(40mm) wide. It weighs 1-lbs (4.5 kg.) and is temperature compensated from 0°F to 160°F. The degree of accuracy of the air/electronic unit is limited by the accuracy of the air tooling.

In operation, the air input signal is received in the front of the converter through the air adapter. The resulting electronic output signal is transferred to the electronic column or gage computer from the signal output socket at the back of the unit by a jumper cable. Zero and gain controls on the front of the converter adjust the electric signal. The zero control is used for adjusting the zero point on the electronic column and the gain control is used for increasing or decreasing the spread on the column.
