New, Single-User Supplied Air Purification & Regulation System For Welders

Individual Systems Are Modular & Share One CO Monitor, For Cost Savings Of Up To 33%; Operates Off Standard "Shop" Compressed Air Systems

The Speedglas® Individual Supplied-Air Purification & Regulation
System is especially designed for welders requiring supplied-air
respiratory protection.

The compact, single-user system connects to standard "shop"
compressed air sources that are free of carbon monoxide and are
not oxygen-deficient. The purification system removes oils,
particulates, and odors from the air supply, providing filtered
air that meets or exceeds OSHA, CSA and ISO standards. With a 100
psig compressed air supply, the system will provide a welder with
27 scfm of breathable air at 100 psig.

The Speedglas® Individual Supplied-Air Purification & Regulation
System includes a Breathing Air Purifier and Regulator (BA-2013)
and a Carbon Monoxide Monitor (CO-2013) with power supply. The CO
Monitor has a 90-decibel alarm that warns users of unacceptable CO levels in the compressed air line. With the CO Monitor installed, one air supply line can provide air to numerous BA-2013 Purifiers, which can then be added to the supply line in a modular fashion for increased work area flexibility. This modular, one welder/one Purifier approach also provides for significant cost savings due to the shared CO Monitor.

The BA-2013 Purifier is a simple yet very rugged system, designed
for wall-mounting. Two heavy-duty metal cylinders protect the two-stage filter elements: a particulate/coalescing element that
removes particles and oil down to 0.01 micron size and an activated carbon/absorption element that removes odors and any
remaining oil content down to 0.003 ppm.

The Purifier also has a pressure gauge on its outlet side, a de-
pressurization valve to vent the compressed air in the filter
prior to a filter change, a liquid level indicator for confirmation that the automatic condensate drain is operational, a standard 3/8" NPT inlet, and a Parker Hannifin(TM) B32 quick
disconnect outlet.

The ISA BA-2013 system is used with Speedglas Fresh-air® II SA
9000 helmet assemblies and auto-darkening lenses. Three different
belt-mounted valves are available to welders for the adjustment of airflow levels or temperature of the supplied air.
