LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. — Air Products (NYSE: APD) will highlight its range of industrial gases and cost-efficient technologies for the steel industry at AISTech 2015 in Cleveland, Ohio, from May 4-6. Yesterday the company announced an agreement to supply industrial gases to Big River Steel's green-field steel mill in Mississippi County, Ark. Under the agreement, Air Products will operate an air separation unit that will supply oxygen, nitrogen, and argon by pipeline to Big River Steel's new hot rolled steel facility. In addition, Air Products will supply a PRISM® hydrogen generator, which will also pipeline product to the facility. All units are targeted to be onstream by July 2016.
