A new, air-operated clamp attachment for their welding end prep tools that saves time when performing large numbers of end preps on the same size tube or pipe has been introduced by ESCO Tool of Medfield, Massachusetts.
The MILLHOG® Air Clamp(TM) is a pneumatic cylinder that replaces the manual draw rod clamping assembly on the Tube Weasel-, Ground-, and Wart MILLHOG® right angle welding end prep tools to speed up their attach/release times. Easily field-retrofit onto existing tools, it is ideally suited for users performing large numbers of end preps on the same size tube or pipe.
Featuring a self-centering draw rod which inserts into the tube or pipe I.D., the MILLHOG® Air Clamp(TM) instantly locks the tool into position and can be disengaged just as fast. Torque-free MILLHOG welding end prep tools incorporate dual-opposed bearing drive gear systems, rigid EscoLock blade locking systems, and can pull thick chips without using cutting oils.
