Air Filter offers 4 efficiencies up to 99%.

Press Release Summary:

V-bank Durafil® Air Filter features high-impact plastic frame and media pack supports for resistance to corrosion. It uses water-resistant glass media in pleat-in-pleat design with up to 200 sq ft of media area. Suited for variable air volume systems, filter handles airflow capacities up to 3,000 cfm, with final pressure drop capability to 2.0 in. wg. Four efficiencies include MERV 11, 13, 14, and 16 based on ASHRAE 52.2 (60-65%, 80-85%, 90-95%, and 99%).

Energy Saving "Durafil®" Air Filter Features New Plastic Construction, Four High Efficiencies Up To 99 Percent

Riverdale, N.J., June 2004 - Camfil Farr has introduced an updated V-bank "Durafil®" air filter that combines energy efficiency and long service life with new plastic construction. The enclosing frame and media pack supports are now of high-impact plastic that reduces the weight of the filter, is not subject to corrosion, and resists damage during shipping and installation. Used in place of box-type filters or other ASHRAE-rated products, the Durafil filter is ideal for variable air volume (VAV) systems, air-starved systems, or any commercial, medical or industrial application where energy savings is a priority.

The filter is now available in four high efficiencies: MERV 11, 13, 14 and 16 based on ASHRAE 52.2 (60-65 percent, 80-85 percent, 90-95 percent, and 99 percent, based on ASHRAE 52.1 Dust Spot). The new MERV 16 (99 percent efficiency) filter, which uses a 95 percent DOP rated media and has a rated initial resistance to airflow of only 0.80" w.g. at 2000 cfm, is suited to critical applications that require higher sub-micron particle capture efficiency than standard offerings. Examples include smoking areas and healthcare facilities where the air handling system may not be able to accommodate higher resistance filters.

The Durafil air filter uses a water-resistant glass media in a pleat-in-pleat design with up to 200 sq. ft. of media area, for high dust-holding capacity, long service life and low average pressure drop. The microfine glass media maintains efficiency throughout its service life for optimum performance and reliability.

Rigid and durable construction is ensured through the use of vertical media pack supports and the strong, impact-resistant plastic enclosing frame. The supported media accommodates large
variations in airflow and pressure, making it ideal for VAV systems. It is suited to airflow capacities up to 3,000 cfm, with final pressure drop capability to 2.0" w.g. The filter fits into all commonly used housings and is available with optional dual headers.
