New Whisper Side Flow Air Conveyance(TM) from Goldco Handles Several Sizes of PET/Plastic Containers On a Single Cost-Effective Conveying System

The new Whisper Side Flow(TM) (WSF) Air Conveyance for PET and other plastic containers from Goldco Industries now enables manufacturers of and fillers of PET bottles to run various PET and plastic container sizes and geometries on a single conveying system. This innovative air conveyance system features a new patent-pending integrated multiple-finish neck guide technology that handles multiple PET neck finish sizes with essentially no change parts. The WSF Air Conveyance maximizes productivity with its pre-programmed product "recipes" that ensure quick repeatable start-up after reformatting for different products. Handling both 28 mm and 38 mm neck-finish sizes without the need for changeover results in single line production speeds over 1,000 BPM. Goldco is introducing this new plastic container handling equipment at PackExpo International Booth S-1678 in Chicago, Nov 3 - 7, 2002.
The Whisper Side Flow is the latest equipment in Goldco's cost- effective container and package handling systems that produce more salable product and yet provide low ownership costs to container manufacturers and fillers. To provide energy savings of up to 80% over conventional air conveying systems, the WSF uses a single, hygienic, high-efficiency 1 HP blower assembly in minimum intervals of 24 linear feet. To reduce the risk of contamination of the inside of the container, the WSF directs airflow at the shoulder and sides of the bottle below the neck ring.
Goldco designed the WSF for operational simplicity and line layout flexibility. There are no dampers, and the inverter control optimizes conveying efficiency while precisely coordinating product flow with upstream supply and downstream demand conditions. The WSF further simplifies operating conditions with a proprietary louver design that produces low-pressure/high-volume airflow to stabilize containers, virtually eliminating jamming and resulting product loss. The clean, compact plenum design (minimum corner radius of 36") offers superior layout flexibility.

The Paradigm(TM) Series Multi- Product Palletizing Systems for PET and other plastic containers provide unparalleled compactness and space efficiency. Paradigm systems average 1,000 square feet more space-efficiency than conventional low-level palletizing systems, and provide equal or greater productive capacity (up to 68,000 BPH). On a Paradigm system, containers are positively controlled throughout the laning, layer forming, and layer transfer operations, eliminating container upset and related product loss.
