Air Atomizing Headers target food industry.

Press Release Summary:

In addition to fixed-location style, Air Atomizing Headers come in side track mounting design, enabling operator to fine tune nozzle location on header. Units connect to LSC 360i computerized spray controller, which allows user input of spray variables for control of spray process. Headers are available with AirMist or ViscoMist(TM) nozzles, which combine metered air and liquid for fine atomization. Both come in nickel-plated brass or 316 stainless steel.

Lechler Announces a Product Release Air Atomizing Headers

Lechler, Inc., a member of the worldwide Lechler Group, announces its latest line of Air Atomizing Headers. These headers have a new design and can be used in a variety of applications, especially within the food industry. Lechler has done its best to understand these applications and to make custom-fabricated Air Atomizing Headers meeting customers' requirements.

In addition to the standard fixed-location style, Lechler also offers a side track mounting design, enabling the operator to move the nozzles along the track to fine tune nozzle location on the header for difficult coverage situations.

Air Atomizing Headers are available with either of Lechler's air atomizing nozzles: AirMist or ViscoMist(TM). These nozzles combine metered air and liquid to provide a finer atomization than a single-fluid nozzle just spraying the liquid alone. Each nozzle type has a basic configuration of two inlet tubes: one liquid and one air. The AirMist version can come with a second air inlet type for use in controlling individual nozzle cleanout and shutoff through the use of an optional pneumatic valve. The ViscoMist version comes standard with a shutoff needle but it can also come with a second air inlet tube for use in controlling the spray pattern on certain ViscoMist models.

Lechler custom builds each header to the size and performance levels needed for each plant that orders it. ViscoMist header systems can be cycled up to 180 times per minute. The ViscoMist nozzles themselves have an internal self-closing shut off valve that is activated by a minimum of 40 psi air pressure. These durable units are available in nickel-plated brass or 316 Stainless Steel.

The AirMist headers have been designed for many diverse applications. A flat fan spray pattern is most often used for coating and cooling applications whenever a wide linear pattern is required. When an application requires a relatively narrow, long reaching, circular pattern, it is best to use the full cone spray pattern. An internal mixing style is ideal for use with water or other low viscosity fluids, free from impurities. Conversely, an external mixing style is especially suited to atomizing viscous fluids because it requires a low liquid pressure supply system. AirMists are available in various metals. The nickel-plated brass version is best for industrial uses. The 316 Stainless Steel version is ideal for the most stringent food or pharmaceutical applications.

Either Air Atomizing Header is designed to connect to Lechler's latest product, the Lechler Spray Controller, or LSC 360i. The LSC is a computerized spray package which allows user input of spray variables to provide ultimate control of a spray process, particularly with intermittent spraying, such as coating applications on food lines. Whether or not you might require an LSC, Lechler can design and fabricate an AirMist or ViscoMist header to meet your specific spray requirements.
