Agilix Labs Releases InfiNotes 2.0 to Support .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005

OREM, Utah, Dec. 5 - Agilix Labs, Inc., a worldwide leader in mobile learning solutions, today announced it has released a new version of InfiNotes that works with the new .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005, both recently released by Microsoft. InfiNotes 2.0 is a suite of .NET controls that dramatically simplify building ink note-taking applications for Tablet PCs.

The new version of InfiNotes enables developers to now build ink note-taking features in their applications built on the .NET Framework 2.0. InfiNotes 2.0 integrates its toolbox and help features into Visual Studio 2005, the most popular development environments for .NET Framework 2.0 developers. In addition, it adds new ink classes for new note-taking applications to provide greater flexibility in how the controls are deployed.

"Agilix is excited about the new release of the .NET Framework," said Curt Allen, Agilix president and chief executive officer. "Now that InfiNotes supports .NET Framework 2.0, our developers have the ability to fully leverage the power of this new platform by coupling it with the best ink note-taking controls available."

"We are pleased to have Agilix support the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0," said Vic Gundotra, Microsoft general manager of platform evangelism. "Agilix is clearly one of the thought leaders in its market by consistently delivering compelling products that fully leverage the Microsoft platform. Having the Agilix InfiNotes ink note-taking solution support .NET 2.0 is a perfect example of this."

"InfiNotes 2.0 improves on an already great product," said Terry Rochford, owner and principal of Enventra, an Agilix customer. "The addition of support for the .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005, plus improved features such as mixed text and ink strings and ink-aware text boxes, gives us valuable new options to enhance the user experience for our academic and professional Tablet PC users. This new release enables us to move forward quickly to support the latest Microsoft platforms."

InfiNotes 2.0 is immediately available for download in two versions on www.agilix.com. The Standard Edition is free to any developer and provides basic Microsoft Journal like functionality. The Professional Edition is licensed at $295 per developer and provides an enhanced feature set, such as supporting text note-taking using a keyboard, multi-page notes, ink-to-text conversion, zoom in/zoom out and support for note flags. The free InfiNotes Standard Edition includes a 30-day trial of the Professional Edition features.

Agilix will also add support in the future for the Agilix GoBinder SDK. The GoBinder SDK enables third party developers to add user interface, data and communication plug-ins to its GoBinder 2006 and Blackboard Backpack applications. The GoBinder SDK is currently in beta test and is available for download on Agilix's Web site.
