Agilent Technologies Demonstrates Its Newest Solutions for ATE at AUTOTESTCON

SANTA CLARA, Calif.- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced it will present a wide range of recently introduced ATE instruments and software at AUTOTESTCON 2012 (Booth 513). The show runs Sept. 11-13 at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.

In addition to its broad range of traditional instruments, Agilent continues to expand its portfolios of modular products, field-test tools and system components. Recent additions in all these categories will be on display.

Modular products: The M9381A 6 GHz PXI vector signal generator enhances testing and validation with switching as fast as 10 µs and excellent RF parametric performance: high output power, superior level accuracy and 160-MHz modulation bandwidth. The M9703A AXIe digitizer supports phase-coherent frequency-domain analysis on up to 40 channels within a single 4U-high M9505A five-slot AXIe chassis.

Three module-based signal analyzers will be demonstrated. When combined, the M9392A PXI vector signal analyzer, M9202A PXI wideband IF digitizer and Agilent 89600 VSA software enable analysis of communications, radar and avionics signals. For multichannel and multiple-input/multiple-output (MIMO) applications, the PXI wideband MIMO signal analyzer provides 800 MHz of bandwidth per channel on up to four channels. Similarly, the N7109A multichannel signal analyzer provides fast measurements for MIMO, beam-forming and antenna-pattern analysis on two, four, six or eight RF channels.

Field-test tools: The lineup of 14 FieldFox RF and microwave handheld analyzers brings benchtop accuracy and MIL-spec durability to on-the-go applications. The compact, 6.6-pound (3.0-kg) microwave models can be configured for cable-and-antenna analysis, spectrum analysis, vector network analysis, or all-in-one capability with frequency coverage to 9, 14, 18 or 26.5 GHz.

Signal generation and analysis: The N5182B MXG RF vector signal generator features a three-inch rack height, power output up to +24 dBm (to 3 GHz), excellent phase noise, 160-GHz bandwidth, legacy compatibility and a three-year warranty. The recently updated N9030A PXA performance signal analyzer now includes a 64-bit dual-core processor and firmware enhancements that increase the speed of FFT sweeps and a variety of measurements such as spur searches.

System components: A new USB peak power sensor and the 8990B peak power analyzer provide measurements from 10 MHz to 40 GHz. To enhance throughput and productivity, the low-profile N6700 modular power system now includes seven high-power modules that range from 300 to 500 W. To further optimize the efficiency of test systems, Agilent offers a range of PXI switches, a PXI attenuator/switch driver and an 18 GHz USB coaxial switch.

Software: Command Expert is a free PC application that simplifies instrument control in many popular application-development environments. Developers can search for commands; view documentation; build, execute and debug command sequences; and use those sequences within the programming environment.

Papers to be Presented

Agilent technical professionals will also present a variety of papers. Titles include "Test Strategies for Minimizing the Overall Cost of Test," "Accelerate Instrument Control and Automation," "A Novel Approach to RF/Microwave Stimulus for Legacy ATE," and "Challenges in Measuring Wideband Radars in an ATE Environment."
