AFC-Holcroft Receives Order for Mesh Belt Austemper Line
AFC-Holcroft has received an order for a complete Mesh Belt Austemper Line from a major supplier of automotive components.
The order is for a complete gas-fired austemper facility, consisting of a computerized loading system to feed the parts into the furnace belt; a gas-fired mesh-belt austenitizing furnace with three zones of control to heat the parts to the process temperature; an integral, gas-fired salt quenching tank to quench the hot parts in molten salt; and a spray-dunk washer to clean the products after they exit the system. AFC-Holcroft's BeltMaster™ Control System will monitor and control the flow of product, as well as maintain load tracking, history and recipe storage and management for the line. The mesh belt facility has been designed to meet the requirements of CQI 9.
The equipment is expected to be delivered to the customer's plant in Ontario, Canada in the first quarter of 2015.
