AFC-Holcroft Furnaces Installed, Commissioned in China
AFC-Holcroft and partner company Shanghai Powermax are pleased to announce the commissioning of several large orders received in China.
Bodycote Wuxi has started production on their latest AFC-Holcroft furnace, with the entire line now consisting of (6) AFC-Holcroft/PowerMax UBQ 36-48-36 furnaces and companion equipment.
A large international supplier of bearings, with plant located in China, has also expanded production, with a total of 6 AFC-Holcroft/Powermax UBQ 72-72-56 (1.8 m x 1.8m x 1.4m high) furnaces in operation. These represent some of, if not the largest, sealed quench furnaces installed in China to date, with loads larger than 7,000 kg. Some of these furnaces are used to heat treat windmill bearing races with very deep case depths and stringent specifications.
Similarly, the same international customer in China has started production of their AFC-Holcroft UBH 80-80-36 (2m x 2m tray) atmosphere heating furnace and large press quench system. This equipment allows the reheat and press quench of wind mill bearing races to a diameter of 80" (2m). The performance and distortion control of these furnaces and the accompanying press quench, also built at Powermax, has exceeded customer specifications.
