AEP Industries XR 75013 Stretch Film
Opportunity: We contacted the customer to learn it was using 80 gauge stretch film to secure 300 loads per day transported within its own distribution network and that it had no qualified packaging engineers within the company.
Application: By testing, adjusting, and installing components on the customer's automatic stretch equipment, we down-gauged from their previous 80g to AEP's XR 75013 (51g) film plus increased load containment. The customer realized a 50% savings in pounds of film used due to down-gauging and increasing pre-stretch of the film plus no sacrifice in performance.
Conclusion: In allowing NEUTECH to bring its knowledge and experience to the application, the customer was rewarded with a 50% savings in film cost at this facility, plus 50% less rolls of film being handled by their logistics and less film going into a landfill or necessitating recycling.
