Advanced Systems Concepts Inc. to Showcase ActiveBatch® Workload Automation, Featuring Advanced Oracle Automation, at Oracle OpenWorld 2012

ActiveBatch Integration With Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft and Oracle Databases Simplifies Sharing of Data and Managing Dependencies Across Workloads Without Custom Scripting

MORRISTOWN, N.J -- Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. (ASCI), maker of ActiveBatch® Workload Automation and Job Scheduling Software, today announced it will be presenting Version 9 of ActiveBatch for the first time at Oracle OpenWorld 2012, the most important Oracle educational and networking event, September 30-October 4, 2012 in San Francisco. ActiveBatch is an enterprise IT automation solution for scheduling and coordinating disparate business and/or IT operational processes found in todays IT organizations. ActiveBatch's unique approach to simplifying the building and automating of IT workflows includes support for a wide range of Oracle solutions as well as other enterprise applications, platforms and technologies.

· Oracle E-Business Suite: Thanks to the ActiveBatch Extension for Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS), ActiveBatch gives Oracle EBS users and developers advanced scheduling, event automation and monitoring capabilities, to more easily build and automate end-to-end workflows between Oracle EBS and other applications, databases and technologies.

· PeopleSoft: The ActiveBatch Extension for PeopleSoft simplifies the execution and integration of PeopleSoft jobs and processes. The extension offers users a single, cross-platform solution for executing workflows across a diverse mix of databases, apps and other technologies.

· Oracle Database: Through its Integrated Jobs Library, ActiveBatch offers production-ready job steps that bring all of ActiveBatch's advanced scheduling capabilities to Oracle databases. ActiveBatch also gives the designer a choice between agent and "agent-less" access to the Oracle systems for invoking a particular Oracle task.

· Java, JMX, JMS and EJB: Through its support of these technologies, ActiveBatch simplifies the scheduling and integration of Java-based applications and technologies.

Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. will be demoing ActiveBatch V9 at Oracle OpenWorld 2012. Announced earlier this year, ActiveBatch V9 delivers two exciting new concepts to the realm of workload automation: automatic server provisioning, or the ability to provision adequate virtual and cloud resources "on the fly" in real-time; and scheduling analytics, a landmark merging of historical and predictive analysis to ensure that the correct amount and combination of resources are made available for executing SLA-critical workflows. Together these concepts move job scheduling and workload automation forward to support an era when dependability of business services is overtaking emphasis on discrete data processing.

Now used in over 43 countries, ActiveBatch Enterprise Job Scheduling and Workload Automation provides IT organizations with a single automation solution that integrates job scheduling, workload and runbook automation, and self-service automation. ActiveBatch, via its Integrated Jobs Library and ActiveBatch Extensions, lets users author and automate workflows faster and easier than relying on custom scripting or multiple scheduling systems.

In addition to Oracle products, ActiveBatch supports dozens of applications, databases, technologies and services.
