Yaskawa Generation 7 Drives Offer DeviceNet Communications
NEW BERLIN, Wis., Aug. 29, 2003 -- Yaskawa's entire line of Generation 7 adjustable frequency AC Drives for industrial applications is now available with DeviceNet communication interface.
The Yaskawa Generation 7 drive lineup includes the F7 drive, a rugged workhorse for every conventional application; the P7 drive for fans and pumps; the V7 microdrive family, capable of operating in either V/Hz or open loop vector modes; and the soon-to-be announced, G7 drive for high-performance use.
DeviceNet Provides Simple, Low-Cost Networking
DeviceNet offers a simple, low-cost solution to networking requirements. It provides an effective communication network for computers, programmable controllers and drives, as well as industrial devices including operator interfaces, limit and photoelectric switches and motor starters.
DeviceNet-equipped drives provide access to all of the drive's monitors and I/O, including digital inputs, analog inputs, digital outputs, and analog outputs.
Network medium is a 5-wire cable containing a twisted pair for data communications, a second twisted pair for network power, and a shield. A plugable connector simplifies wiring.
The interface is designed and built by Yaskawa to comply with all pertinent aspects of the DeviceNet specification.
