ADI Improves T-4 Adjustable Linear Feeder

Erie, Pa. - Bob Hoover, Feeder Technician in Automation Devices' VFC Division, has developed a fully adjustable linear feeder that conveys very small parts through vibration. In the past, each linear feeder manufactured was strictly dedicated to a specifically designed track with a specific weight and length. Any alteration in length or weight could drastically de-tune the feeder causing poor performance and feed rate. "This little inline feeder can feed parts from frozen blueberries to tiny diamond chips with a 5 second adjustment," says Hoover.

Automation Devices' Model T-4 (part # 5200A) is the smallest of the Inline Feeder Series and services track lengths of up to 10" with weights up to 2lbs. This inline feeder can be supplied in 120v or 220v, 60 hz or 50 hz.

Adjusting the T-4 is as easy as changing the channel on your clock radio. By effectively lengthening and shortening the working length of its fiberglass springs, the strength of the T-4 can handle a wide range of weight and length modification of your track without the need for factory intervention.

Other Automation Devices adjustable linear feeder models include: Model T-8 (part # 5100 and Model T-18 (part #5300) which service tracks up to 24" in length and 6lbs.
