New Automotive Adhesive Transfer Films Offer Excellent Performance On Foam Substrates



Windsor, Connecticut - November 30, 2001. Scapa Automotive has introduced two new high performance acrylic adhesive transfer films, 4-mil Unifilm U618A and 5-mil Unifilm U619A, designed to offer excellent adhesion and long-term aging on a variety of urethane foam substrates.

Ideal for lamination to a variety of substrates including urethane foams, Unifilm U618A and U619A offer extremely high tack and are designed to provide high initial wet out and superior anchorage to ether and ester foams used in demanding environments. These transfer films perform well over a wide range of operating temperatures, and offer extremely high tack and very high peel strength. The products, which differ only in adhesive thickness, deliver excellent humidity and water resistance, and may be easily die cut. Typical automotive applications for Unifilm U618A and U619A include gasketing and NVH applications, trim attachment, and general automotive assembly.
