Hot Melt Cartridge Applicators For High Performance Bonding
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina---PAM Fastening Technology has introduced a new cartridge applicator adhesive system for use with moisture-curing polyurethane adhesives where industrial strength bonds are required.
The PAM 500K and 500K Spray combined with the PAM polyurethane
cartridges provide a high performance bond with excellent resistance to environmental variables. The adhesive blend is ideal for tough industrial projects where heat resistance and cold flexibility is a premium. The 500K combines the user-friendliness of hot melt adhesives with the exceptional bond performance usually associated with two-part structural adhesives.
With initial fast setup, the lightweight 500K is suited for projects varying from large coverage surfaces or more precise bead or dot applications. The spray applicator quickly and efficiently delivers adhesives to larger coverage areas with
little waste and high accuracy. Compressed air safely delivers adhesive at a controlled and sustainable rate. A thermometer to observe adhesive temperature is mounted directly on the applicator for easy monitoring. The polyurethane cartridge system is environmentally friendly.
The one part polyurethane moisture curing adhesive eliminates metering, mixing and simplifies the production process. Common bonding substrates include wood, plastics, rubber and plasticized vinyls.
Various quick detachable drip free nozzles are available as well as a cartridge preheater for continuous operation on the fly. The preheater can safely heat two 12 oz. cartridges in 15 minutes.

The PAM 500K weighs 3.7 lbs. and uses 350 watts of power. Normal operating temperature reaches from 90-325 deg F and 300-450 deg F. The applicator utilizes electronic temperature controls with an efficient thermometer on the applicator tool. The PAM 500K capacity is one 12 oz cartridge. Normal operating pressure is 15 psi to 60 psi.
