New Ceramabond 885 High Temp Zirconia Adhesive Now Available

Valley Cottage, NY- October 10, 2008

SUMMARY
Ceramabond(TM) 885, a new, ultra high temperature, phosphate-bonded, zirconia adhesive
developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to produce high strength bonds in zirconia components to 3200°F (1760°C).

FEATURES
Ceramabond(TM) 885 is an ultra high temperature, phosphate-bonded, zirconia-filled, water-based formulation that bonds aggressively to zirconium oxide along with a variety of other ceramic and glass products. It is supplied as a single part, dispensable paste that is ideally suited for automatic dispensing systems.

Ceramabond(TM) 885 offers exceptional electrical, mechanical and thermal properties.
Typical properties include an operating temperature resistance of 3200°F (1760°C), dielectric strength of 250 volts per mil, and tensile-shear strength of 500-600 psi after exposure to 1000°F. Ceramabond(TM) 885 is applied easily using a hand-tool or automatic dispensing system. A full cure is accomplished by heating for 2 hours each at 200°F, 500°F and 700°F, respectively. Shrinkage upon curing is less than 1%. Cleanup of uncured residue is achieved easily using warm water and soap. Ceramabond(TM) 885 is an inert material that exhibits no outgassing upon curing. It also
demonstrates good resistance to moisture and thermal shock.

Ceramabond(TM) 885 is available from stock in pint, quart, and gallon containers. Please contact Aremco's Technical Sales Department for more information about this advanced product.
