New Adhesive Contains Special Additive for Difficult Substrates
BRIDGEWATER, NJ--A new specialty adhesive contains a special additive that promotes adhesion for difficult-to-bond substrates. Designated PUR-FECT LOK® 34-943A polyurethane reactive hot melt adhesive, this new product is designed to provide better green strength for certain springy substrates. This adhesive was formulated for vinyl laminating, panel bonding and assembly bonding.
A second additive, a UV dye, also permits visibility under a UV light source to indicate if the optimum amount of adhesive is being applied. Many manufacturers strive to optimize adhesive usage. Doing so helps to retain production of high quality products with reliable bonds while minimizing production costs.
This 100% solids, moisture-curing adhesive can be applied by spray, roll coater or slot coater adapted for reactive hot melt adhesives at a material temperature of 250 degrees F.
