Adchem's MT series for Simulated Divided Light (SDL) windows and doors is an innovative adhesive muntin tape system, which eliminates the need for a liquid silane primer. The MT series is engineered to provide long term indoor and outdoor adhesion to a variety of substrates including glass, cellular PVC, vinyl, primed and unprimed wood, plastic, painted aluminum and Kynar coated aluminum.
Establishing a new standard for muntin bar adhesives, Adchem's MT series maintains high shear, tensile, and cleavage strength while providing resistance to air, water, detergents, moisture, heat, and ultra-violet light. Due to lower material costs than competing technologies, easier application and the elimination of the silane primer, the MT series is a cost-effective solution for the window and door market. MT products are available in gray, charcoal and black.
Adchem also provides two AAMA-approved HF and GT series of glazing tapes for the window and door market. The HF series provides a high-strength, UV-resistant acrylic adhesive bond to glass and a rubber-based adhesive bond to the vinyl lineal coated on a cross-linked closed cell polyolefin foam. The foam has in excess of 300 % elongation to break, over 90 psi tensile strength and less than .4% water absorption, creating a strong, flexible and impermeable moisture barrier.
Adchem's all-acrylic GT series meets the unique adhesion demands of the rapidly growing vinyl window and door industry while continuing to serve the wood and aluminum manufacturing window needs. The unique benefit is that the GT series works on all types of lineals reducing the need to stock multiple SKU's. The GT series is a high strength UV resistant acrylic adhesive coated on a cross linked closed cell polyolefin foam. It is available in 1/32", 1/16" and 1/8" thickness and in both black and white foam. Both GT and HF series offers an easy-release, high density blue polypropylene release liner.
