Eaton Corporation Introduces Repair Adapters for STC(R) (Snap-To-Connect) System

EDEN PRAIRIE, MINNESOTA ... Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation's Hydraulics business introduces a new repair adapter for STC(R) (snap-to-connect) system, specifically designed to get the customer up and running if a hose assembly with STC male ends needs to be replaced.

The STC system is a threadless connector system that incorporates a latch ring to provide positive engagement of the mating connectors and an elastomeric seal to prevent leakage. Used in conjunction with the STC system, the repair adapters are used to convert a hose assembly with male pipe, female JIC, or female o-ring face seal (ORFS) hose ends into a STC female direct port or a STC female adapter. The repair adapters have both an Eaton male STC and a threaded end. Threaded ends are available in female pipe, male ORFS, and male JIC configurations.

"Repair adapters are available in all qualified STC sizes: size - 6 up to - 16," said Scott Campbell, product marketing manager, Eaton Corporation. "With more than 20 million STC connections in the marketplace, these repair adapters are essential in supporting the aftermarket needs of customers."

More than 20 million STC threadless connectors are being used in a range of equipment. The STC repair adapters are appropriate for use in a variety of applications including truck or bus platforms, construction and agricultural equipment, material handling, and turf care.
