Cellport Connects 10 New Wireless Phones To Vehicles

Integrated Vehicle Communications System Delivers Hands-free, Convenient Use While Driving

March 8, 2004/Boulder, CO: Cellport Systems, creator of the worldwide Plug & Play Personal Telematics patent portfolio for wireless phones, has expanded its product line by creating phone adapters for 10 new wireless phones for the Cellport 3000 integrated vehicle communications system.

Cellport's innovative platform now connects more than 110 different makes and models of portable wireless handsets with one standard vehicle docking station for convenient hands-free use. Interchangeable phone adapters snap directly on the vehicle's built-in or installed system - becoming the link between the phone's capabilities and the vehicle's resources.

These new phone adapters work with a broad range of wireless carriers and network technologies to provide enhanced applications for Cellport's Plug & Play platform with the following wireless phones:
o The hugely popular Motorola series of camera phones - V300, V400, V500, V525 and V600
o Motorola's V60p (Verizon's first push-to-talk phone) and the new V60s and V60x
o Samsung A600 and A620

"Our integrated hands-free system works with a wide variety of wireless phones on all US carrier platforms," said Pat Kennedy, CEO of Cellport Systems. "As convenience and safety continue to be important factors in using a wireless phone while driving, we have created unique technology solutions to deliver unparalleled flexibility for wireless users to have a sophisticated hands-free vehicle system.

Cellport's patented Plug & Play Personal Telematics technology merges a wireless handset's voice, data and entertainment capabilities into a vehicle, providing convenient hands-free operation by including a speaker, microphone, voice-activated dialing and external antenna. The system also charges the phone and mutes the stereo/radio during a call. As GPS navigation/data and MP3 player capabilities are included in 2004 wireless phone models, Cellport's technology will link them to the vehicle as well.

With drivers' safety awareness and hands-free regulation increasing, both consumers and commercial automotive fleets are using the company's integrated vehicle communications systems to meet their mobile communications needs. Additionally, Cellport's Plug & Play architecture makes it easy for commercial car and truck fleets to use multiple wireless phones in a single vehicle in a hands-free manner.
