Sealevel Systems, Inc. Introduces 8 Port Multi-Interface USB to Serial I/O Adapters
Liberty, SC (November 5th, 2002) - Sealevel Systems, Inc. announces three additions to the company's USB to serial product line, the SeaLINK-USB+8 family. Available in RS-232, RS-422/485, and RS-232/422/485 models, SeaLINK-USB+8 products are the easiest way to connect serial devices via a single USB port.
SeaLINK-USB+8 adapters allow easy connection of up to eight non-USB compatible devices such as scanners, bar-code readers, and a variety of plant-floor devices intended for data acquisition and control applications to USB ports commonly found in today's computer systems.
Once installed, the serial devices appear as standard COM ports to the host system. Data rates up to 921.6K bps are supported and the multi-interface model, p/n 2803, is field configurable at the port level for RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 communication.
SeaLINK-USB+8 products ship with Sealevel Systems' SeaCOM(TM) suite of Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP drivers. Also included is WinSSD, a full-featured application providing powerful testing and diagnostic capabilities. Use WinSSD for BERT (Bit Error Rate Testing), throughput monitoring, loopback tests, and transmit test pattern messages.
In addition to Windows drivers and utilities, SeaCOM(TM) includes drivers, utilities, application notes, and technical details to simplify installation.
