New Actuator Reduces Set-up Times - Brings Old Machines Up-to-Date!

Manual adjustment handwheels can now be retrofitting with SIKO actuators to save time. Instead of adjusting all machine parameters by hand, set-up can be significantly reduced by having adjustments set and monitored electronically. SIKO's new DriveLine provides a solution for restricted space conditions, which support actuation of closely spaced shafts.

The DriveLine series includes actuators for automation of manually set adjustment spindles. SIKO actuators attach to spindles simply and securely with a clamp ring. Compact design supports spindles with shaft spacing as small as 37 mm. (Found on wood processing and packaging machines.) Until now expensive angle drives could only be used in these applications.

The SIKO AG01 DriveLine features:

o Incremental encoder with 1024 pulses per revolution
o Hollow shaft diameter up to 14 mm
o Easy mounting
o Interfaces for Profi, Can bus and RS485

A hollow shaft incremental encoder is integrated in the drive unit for precise play-free positioning. A 70 W direct current motor in conjunction with a variable spur gear transmission provides a flexible drive solution. An optional 150 W actuator and the ability to equip all actuators with absolute positioning system further supplements performance.
