Actel IGLOO Family Wins Prestigious 2007 EE Times ACE Award

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 6 // -- Actel Corporation (NASDAQ:ACTL) today announced that its 5uW Actel IGLOO(TM) family, the industry's lowest power field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), has been honored with the EE Times Third Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Award for Ultimate Product of the Year for Logic, Interface & Programmable Logic. Awards were presented at the EE Times ACE Awards Gala on April 3, 2007, as part of CMP Technology's Embedded Systems Conference Silicon Valley, the largest electronic systems event in North America.

The Ultimate Product of the Year Award -- awarded to the most significant products introduced in the last 12 months -- is determined by large-scale peer review. Finalists in each category are chosen by qualified readers of EE Times and eeProductCenter.com on a quarterly basis via electronic balloting. More than 1,000 engineers participate in the voting process to determine the winners.

"With escalating market demand for technologies attractive to consumers, Actel's low-power IGLOO FPGAs represent an execution of forward-thinking technology and creativity that can lead to the development of a whole new range of consumer and portable products," said Brian Fuller, editor in chief, EE Times.

John East, president and CEO at Actel, added, "Amidst tough competition, we are honored that our 5uW Actel IGLOO family has received a prestigious EE Times ACE Award for Ultimate Product of the Year. We are further honored that the IGLOO family has been classified as 'a game-changing solution for the portable and consumer market arenas' by the voting designers."
