Greenlee's New 776 High Performance ACSR Cable Cutter

Only ACSR cable cutter that opens automatically when the cut is complete

ROCKFORD, Ill. -Greenlee's new 776 high performance ACSR cable cutter has a patent pending two-speed mechanism and automatic retraction. It cuts aluminum, cable steel reinforced (ACSR) cable with a maximum core size of 5/16 up to 636 kcmil. The 776 was designed for power utility line crews, utility contractors, and anyone who regularly must cut ACSR.

"We developed the 776 high performance ACSR cable cutter as a tool that is simpler to use, requires less handle effort and is faster than competitive tools on the market," said Jim Eisele, product manager.

The cutter is designed with a patent pending two speed mechanism that closes the blades rapidly until they contact the cable, and then it automatically shifts to a power speed so that handle effort remains low while making the cut. And when the cut is complete, the 776 is the only ACSR cable cutter that opens automatically to get ready for the next cut. The blades are ground and hardened specifically to cut ACSR.

The 776 ACSR cable cutter is only 20 inches long making it easy to fit into truck bins. Its fiberglass handles also make it lightweight (6.2 pounds) and durable.
