Acetal Plate is available in 1/4 in. thickness.

Press Release Summary:

Natural copolymer acetal plate and black copolymer acetal plate, measuring 48 x 96 x ¼ in., are suited for applications with temperatures below 180°F that require parts with close tolerances or moderate wear resistance in wet environment. Parts machined from acetal offer low water absorption and dimensional stability. Material is used in bearings, bushings, gears, material handling equipment parts, electronic components, and parts in pump assemblies.

ZL Engineering Plastics Inc. Now Inventories 1/4 Inch Acetal Plate

February 10, 2004 -- Natural copolymer acetal plate and black copolymer acetal plate measuring 1/4" thick x 48" x 96" are now available immediately from stock at ZL Engineering Plastics. ZL had previously offered acetal plate from 3/8" to 5" thick.

"As a direct response to customer requests we are expanding our inventory to include thin gauge plate. Parts of any thickness machined from acetal offer low water absorption for excellent dimensional stability," said Greg Waak, President of ZL-East.

Acetal is typically used when application temperatures are below 180°F., high strength and stiffness, parts with close tolerances, or moderate wear resistance in a wet environment is required. Acetal is a popular material choice for bearings, bushings, gears, material handling equipment parts, electronic/electronic components, and parts found in pump assemblies.

ZL Engineering plastics offers high quality extruded and cast nylon, copolymer and homopolymer acetal, PET, Polycarbonate, PEEK, PEI and PVDF stock shapes. ZL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Licharz GmbH and Zell-Metall GmbH. The Licharz and Klepsch Group of companies manufactures over 110 million pounds of sheet, rod and tube worldwide.
