Accessorise with Ondrives!!!

A wide selection of accessories is available from Ondrives Ltd, the mechanical drive components specialist of Chesterfield.

Some of the most popular ranges include wheels, levers, knobs and handles. A variety of wheels are available to purchase as standard, these include disc handwheels in black Duroplastic with all edges smoothed and highly polished either with or without a revolving taper grip, light aluminium cast versions of the same and spoked handwheels.

Levers included in the range are tension levers, one of which is the safety tension lever type and others included are the flat tension type. Clamp levers are made in glass fibre reinforced plastic with a toothed wheel in diecast zinc. A version of the clamping lever is the Button Thread® type which has a thru-hole allowing for quick clamping on long thread lengths. All the user has to do is press the button and the threads are disengaged to allow easy movement up or down the screw. Release the button and the threads engage to allow for normal clamping. This makes them particularly suitable for repetitive tightening operations. They are recommended by Ondrives to be used on low to medium load applications as repeated use on heavy loads may cause thread failure to occur.

A range of handles available briefly comprises control handles, flat control handles, soft and soft knurled handles and clean line versions - one with a stainless steel insert and the other a tubular type for back mounting. The soft handles give the operator's hand a soft feel and provide a better and more efficient ergonomic grip, not subject to environmental conditions and without causing operator fatigue.

Star knobs, lobe knobs, clean line knobs, male and female knurled torque knobs and soft fluted grip knobs are included within the range of standard knobs available. On the soft fluted grip knobs for example, the structure of the fine knurling together with the soft touch cover simplify grip adjustments of the knob during rapid rotation without requiring any uncomfortable angular adjustments of the hand or wrist. Other knobs in the range include the more standard push-pull, thumb, ball, wing and lever types.
