PEM® Threaded Access Hardware Introduced With 'Anti Cross-Thread' Design



PEM® threaded access hardware is newly available with a patented "anti cross-thread" design to help speed assembly and eliminate failures, repairs, scrap, downtime, and warranty service associated with thread damage. These panel fasteners utilize MAThread® technology to realize the benefits of self-aligning threads.

PEM threaded access hardware is ideal for attachment applications where subsequent access to an assembly will be necessary. Captive screws keep parts to a minimum and intact. The "anti cross-thread" design provides added value by correcting off-angle installations, aligning components, and easily sliding through clogged internal threads.

The design promotes improved productivity on the assembly line during fastener installation. As threads come into contact, the anti cross-thread begins to cam over the female thread; the two thread helixes align; and fasteners drive quickly and properly with reduced effort.

PEM threaded access hardware incorporating the "anti cross-thread" design can be ordered in various types and mounting styles (self-clinching, broaching, flare-in, floating, or surface mount) and in a range of unified and metric thread sizes and assorted screw lengths.
