Original Press Release:
Accelerometers Have Built-in Data Sheets
Simultaneously measuring vibration in three, mutually perpendicular axes, this newly designed accelerometer from Kistler Instrument incorporates "TEDS" smart sensor technology. Compliant to IEEE 1451.4 directive, PiezoSmart(TM) circuitry permits reading a self-generating data sheet and writing to the internal sensor memory is enabled. Additionally the 8762(X) M10 series provides conventional analog operation in the low impedance, voltage mode. The series of three models have measuring ranges in 5g, 10g and 50g.
The 20mm cube accelerometer uses a ceramic shear sensing element and a ground isolated housing. Three 10-32 tapped holes provide convenient stud mounting. Advanced internal electronics provide outstanding phase response and wide frequency range. Any Kistler power supply coupler or industry standard IEPE (Integrated Electronic Piezoelectric) compatible power supply will power the accelerometer.
Kistler is a worldwide supplier of precision instrumentation for the measurement of pressure, force and acceleration serving the R&D, Industrial and OEM Communities.
