Accelerometer offers measuring range of ±500 g.

Press Release Summary:

Cube-shaped, IEPE triaxial accelerometer, Model 8763A500 permits simultaneous shock and vibration measurements in 3 mutually perpendicular axes. Three 5-40 threaded holes allow stud mounting on test object, utilizing each side of cube. Shear element technology assures immunity to base strain and thermal transients. Miniature 4-pin ceramic insulated connector provides stability over operating temperature, and welded titanium provides hermetic isolation.

Original Press Release:

Accelerometer Has Convenient Mounting Options

A new cube shaped accelerometer from Kistler Instrument has three 5-40 threaded holes for flexible stud mounting on a test object, fully utilizing each side of the cube design. In addition, the three threaded holes provide reliable mounting for calibration of each orthogonal axis. The 8763A500 is an IEPE triaxial accelerometer permitting simultaneous shock and vibration measurements in three mutually perpendicular axes. Weighing only 3.3 grams, the accelerometer has a measuring range of ±500g.

The accelerometer uses Kistler shear element technology assuring high immunity to base strain and thermal transients. A miniature 4-pin ceramic insulated connector provides long-term stability over the operating temperature range. Lightweight hermetic isolation is provided by welded titanium construction.

Kistler is a worldwide supplier of precision instrumentation for the measurement of pressure, force and acceleration serving the R&D, Industrial and OEM Communities.
