AC2000 AE - Industry Leading Airport-Specific Access Control at Inter Airport Europe

10-Sep-2007

CEM Systems, a leading access control brand of Tyco International is set to showcase its advanced range of airport-specific solutions at Inter Airport Europe, Munich Airport, (Stand A78, Hangar 4), during 9th-12th October.

On display for the first time will be the latest version 5 platform of the industry leading AC2000 AE (Airport Edition) security management system. Specifically designed for airports, AC2000 AE provides critical access control at airside and landside areas and incorporates advanced hardware that is ideal for the airport environment such as portable handheld card readers and IP card readers with onboard database and airport-specific door operation modes.

As the only airport-specific access control system available today, AC2000 AE incorporates sophisticated airport related software such as IATA Code, Airport References, Authorisers and Holders application screens. The system also offers a host of features that help clients manage and operate their airports more efficiently, including check-in desk enabling, passenger segregation, air bridge monitoring, taxi management, advanced reporting on airline usage and much more to aid the generation of airport revenue.

"The v5 platform release of AC2000 AE has many new features such as airport visitor management, the ability for airports to enrol and manage biometric iris templates via the access system and the ability of clients to customise their own system using unlimited airport definable software fields.", commented Philip Verner, Marketing Manager at CEM Systems. "With over 20 years experience working in consultation with airports, Inter Airport Europe is the ideal platform for CEM to demonstrate how the AC2000 AE system is continually developed to reflect the latest in airport technology and legislation." Verner continued.

Testament to CEM's experience is the fact that over 80% of UK airports use a CEM access control solution including all 7 BAA owned airports such as Heathrow and Gatwick as well as many of the world's largest airports such as Hong Kong International and Vancouver.

Visit CEM at stand (A78) within the UK Pavilion. Meet with CEM representatives to discuss what the future encompasses for airport security and how CEM access control solutions can secure and enhance airport environment and operations.
