Pacific Power Source Releases New MIL-STD-1399-300 Shipboard AC Power Test Option



Latest Test Standard Revision B Provides Up to Date Test Sequences for Mil-Std-1399, AC Power Compliance Testing for Navy Vessels.



Irvine, California -- Pacific Power Source is pleased to announce the release of its latest suite of test routines specifically designed to test AC products for compliance with Department of Defense Interface Standard Mil-Std-1399-300, “Aircraft Electric Power Characteristics”. This new software option expands Pacific Power Source Inc.’s growing portfolio of Defense related Power Compliance Test options.



The Mil-Std 1399-300 test standard is published by the Department of Defense and applies to all shipboard AC power systems. First published in 1978, it has undergone several revision changes culminating in its current revision B.



Available as an integrated option package running within the Pacific Power Source UPC Studio Windows control program, the Pacific Power Source Inc. MIL-STD-1399-300B option includes the latest revision B test sequences for all AC power groups.  Power groups include single and three phase, fixed 400Hz frequency as well as single and three phase 60Hz power group test sequences.



Detailed test reports in Rich Text Format are generated automatically at the end of each test run.  Included test report templates can be customized with the End-users Logo’s and company name as needed.



As an integral part of the UPC Studio software, the MIL-STD-1399-300B test option is available for both the Linear AMX Series AC Power Sources - which offers superior performance - as well as the Switching ASX Series AC Power Sources - which offers compact size.  For high power testing requirements, the 3060-MS Series AC Power source provides the required high current capability.

Target customers for this new MIL-STD-1399-300B test option are EMC Test Labs involved with military product certification and testing.  Also, manufacturers of AC powered shipboard equipment that need to certify their products to this MIL standard can use this option to check for compliance during early stages of product development.
