Marathon Electric Introduces "microMAX(TM)"
Marathon Electric, the premier AC Variable Speed motor manufacturer, has just introduced "microMAX(TM)", a line of low horsepower AC inverter duty motors which are designed as a direct replacement for permanent magnet DC (PMDC) systems. Available from stock in l/4-3 HP, these C face motors utilize the same mounting configuration as their PMDC counterparts: foot print, flange dimensions, and shaft length and diameter. Laboratory tests reveal superior performance, both in constant torque speed range as well as peak torque capability. When equipped with a PWM scalar drive, up to a 30% cost savings can be realized.
