New Omron Washdown Duty AC Inverter Excellent For Harsh Environments
SCHAUMBURG, IL (April 8, 2002)-Omron's new MV-4X AC inverter's NEMA 4X/12 and IP66 ratings allow it to resist dust and forced water or chemicals, making it ideal for tough washdown or dust-tight environments. The MV-4X is an Omron MV-Series AC inverter encased in a water and dust-tight enclosure. This specially designed enclosure allows a user to operate the inverter by using the front panel with a quick-start keypad. Users can then view the LED display for easy setup and programming.
The MV-4X's compact design, starting at 6.1 x 7.6 x 6.5 inches, eases retrofits. With the MV-4X, programmable analog and digital inputs and outputs are available and ease connectivity and integration. An on board RS-485 Modbus RTU allows for easy networking for up to 32 nodes. MV-4X users also can select between open loop vector control or volts/hertz control with a simple parameter change. This selection option gives more accurate responses provides better speed regulation and gives higher torque at low speeds.
This new inverter is available in 230VAC, 3-phase from 1/2 to 10HP, and in 460VAC, 3-phase from 1/2 to 15HP. The MV-4X is ideal for the food and beverage industry, mixers, machine tools, pumps and refrigeration equipment.
