AC Current Monitoring Kit monitors up to 10 locations.

Press Release Summary:

Used to identify where and when electricity is used, PP194 monitoring kit contains components needed for data logging currents from up to 3 separate circuits. Kit contains EL040 power monitor, EL005 EnviroMon data logger, 3 TA011 current clamps, network cable, and power supply. Logger records up to 250,000 measurements at user-programmed intervals from 1 S/min to 1 S/240 min. Up to ten EL040 units can be connected to one EL005 via 400 m long (max) network cable.

Power Line Monitoring at up to 10 Locations Simultaneously!

Pittsford, New York. PP194 is a new three-channel a.c. current monitoring kit, for use in identifying where and when electricity is used, helping to reduce costs, and highlight problems before they become critical. PP194 current monitoring kit contains everything that you need to start data logging currents from up to three separate circuits. It is ideal for measuring and balancing 3 phase supplies as well as machine monitoring and energy efficiency studies.

PP194 line/mains supply monitoring kit contains: EL040 power monitor, EL005 EnviroMon data logger, three TA011 current clamps, a network cable and a power supply. EL040 unit can be used to monitor up to three AC signals from the outputs of the TA011 AC current clamp transformers. Up to ten EL040 units can be connected to an EL005 data logger by using a network cable (with a maximum length of 400 metres). The logger records readings at user programmed intervals (from 1 sample every minute up to 1 sample every 240 minutes), and can also trigger alarms when conditions preset by the user are exceeded. Impressively, up to 250,000 measurements can be recorded, which means the EL005 logger could monitor a 3-phase power supply (sampling every 30 minutes) for nearly 5 years!

As machinery gets older the current consumed will often increase as parts become warn and the machine becomes inefficient. Servicing or replacement can then be scheduled before the machine fails, which saves any loss in production. Alarms can be set to warn of higher or lower than normal current consumption of machinery, possibly preventing expensive servicing costs.

EL005 logger is connected to a PC for set-up and to view or export the data. With its large memory and long-life internal rechargeable batteries, the system will keep running for up to 72 hours during a mains power failure.

PP194 Current Monitoring Kit is available now from $899 from Saelig Co. Inc. info@saelig.com 585-385-1750.
